Simply put, broadloom is any carpet that is tufted or woven on a large loom. It may be used to cover an entire room from wall to wall, on a stairway, or as an area rug. If you need a specific size or shape, we can customize your area rug and we offer many edge binding choices, including designer tapestry or leather.

There have never been more choices in broadloom carpeting than there are today. Broadloom comes in a variety of natural or synthetic fibers, including wool, sisal, grass, jute, nylon, olefin, polypropylene and blends. We carry a large selection of samples of all types to borrow at no charge.

After your initial consultation at The Rug Merchant with our highly trained and experienced team, you will be able to take home samples of your selections.  Once you’ve made a final choice, we will visit you to make an on-site evaluation of the project requirements and measure carefully.  Your estimate will include competitive pricing, details of the installation process and a projected schedule.

We fabricate most of our custom cut rugs and runners right here in our warehouse. We serge or we can bind your rug in a variety of widths, colors and materials; cotton, linen and leather.
